Caerostris casts her web across rivers, in the forested area in Madagascar. Entomologists tell stories of looking upstream and seeing the many "bull's-eyes" of her web crisscrossing rivers. Caerostris is nearly invisible, looking just like a dried leaf dancing in the breeze. At night she rests on trees after consuming her web, hence the name "Bark" spider.
