I developed the "Gladiator with black" print for my exhibition, Tanz der Gladiatoren, at the Galerie Noran in Panker, Germany. It was printed 60 inches high on canvas and varnished.

My idea was for the viewer to experience this insect as a predator of similar size. The scientists who discovered the Gladiators, in Namibia, enjoyed posing for the camera in front of the piece.
